Two favorite books we love to read are "The Legend of the Christmas Tree" and "The Night Tree" by Eve Bunting. Then we make cone trees and bird feeders.
The cone trees are simple and fun... Use sugar cones and turn them upside down and spread with green frosting (add green food coloring to white frosting) then decorate with sprinkles and red hots. These trees are great addtions to gingerbread houses. To make the bird feeder we just us tp rolls and smear with peanut butter and roll in bird seed. We also strung popcorn to hang on our own Night tree.
